General information on configuring the Tool Area

Parameters Tool Area of the window and located on it toolbars are being customized. You can change the appearance of the Tool Area, the toolbar sets, and the toolbars themselves.

You can customize the appearance of the Tool Area in the main system window and in the interface setting mode. With this setting, you can change the number of rows on the Tool Area, set the size of the toolbars and their position in the window.

You can configure the list of toolbar sets, the structure of toolbars in the set, and the structure of commands on the toolbar only in the interface setting mode.

You can savethe configuration of Tool Area window.

In print preview mode, customizing the Tool Area and control panels is unavailable. You cannot change the parameters of the Tool Area displayed in this mode.

Notes on the settings

Changing the height of the Tool Area of the window and customizing the list of sets are transferred to documents of the same type as the document that you customize.

Customizing an individual set, when adding/removing toolbars and changing their position is included, will be transferred to all documents where the set is used. This setting will not affect other sets.

The configuration of an individual toolbar including changes in the toolbar size and the structure of the commands located on it is transferred to all sets of panels of all documents, where this panel is used.

While working with several KOMPAS-3D windows, please keep in mind the following.

The Tool Area settings made in the current window apply to other windows subject to the notes described above. The exception is the change of positions of toolbars since it does not affect other opened windows.
