In KOMPAS-3D, a special mode is provided – Interface settings, which is intended for customization of Tool Area in the window, containing toolbars.

When you switch to the interface setting mode, the content of the KOMPAS-3D window changes. The following items are displayed in the window.

•The Toolbar Panel of the window with toolbars — object of settings. Please note that the mode window shows the Toolbar Panel that corresponds to the document type (document mode),in which the setting was started. More details on configuring the Toolbar Panel of various types...

•Window Tool Area Constructor — using this window, you can add sets of toolbars to the list of sets in current Tool Area, toolbars into sets, and commands to the toolbars.

•The menu, the commands of which duplicate the buttons on the toolbar of the Tool Area Constructor.

All bars of the Tool Area are fully expanded. At the same time, the Expand Toolbars button is pressed on the Designer toolbar. If you need to show the toolbars as collapsed — as they will be displayed in the main window — depress the button.

In the interface setting mode, you can make all the same settings to the appearance of the Toolbar Panel and toolbars as in the main window, namely:

•change the vertical size of the window's Tool Area,

•configure the position of the toolbars,

•set the horizontal dimension of the toolbars.

In addition, this mode allows you to set up the structure of the Tool Area and toolbars. With this setting you can:

•change the list of toolbar sets; create custom sets;

•change the structure of toolbars set, adding and removing toolbars; create custom toolbars;

•manage the structure of commands of the toolbar:

•change the relative position of commands on the toolbar;

•add/remove commands;

•move commands from one toolbar to another.

Perform all the necessary steps to configure the Toolbar Panel and complete your work in the mode by clicking Apply and Exit on the Constructor's toolbar. The changes made will be applied to all open KOMPAS-3D windows.

If you want to cancel the setting without saving your changes, click Exit .
