Setting the curve grid parameters |
Scroll |
Dependingon the selected arrangement of sections (Parallel or Radially), the corresponding control elements for configuring the parameters of the curve grid appear on the Parameters panel. The setup order for each option is described in the sections below.
Parallel section position
The grid of curves with parallel arrangement of sectionsis set up in the group of elements Number of sections from the center. Proceed as follows.
1.Specify the number of sections in the positive and/or negative direction relative to the base plane in the field Side 1/Side 2.
If required, you can swap the number of sections in the positive and negative direction by clicking Swap
button to the right of the fields.
2.Specify the distance between the sections in the field Step.
3.Specify the rotation angle of the base plane in the Rotation Angle field or select it from the list (the field is available for the Perpendicular to the tangent plane method).
To set the rotation angle, you may specify the point which the base plane will pass through. Click the field name Snap point and specify the point. Its name will be displayed in the field.
Radial location of sections
To set up the curve grid in case of radial location of sections, do the following.
1.Set the number of sections in the field Number.
2.Choose the angle setting option between sections using the buttons of the Angle between: group.
By adjacent Sections: the angle between adjacent sections is specified.
Extreme sections: the angle between the base plane and the last section is set.
3.Enter the angle value in the field Angle or select it from the list.
If required, you can change the direction of angle calculation from the base plane by pressing the Change Direction
to the right of the Angle field.
4.Set the rotation angle of the base plane in the field Rotation Angle or select it from the list.
To set the rotation angle, you may specify the point which the base plane will pass through. Click the field name Snap point and specify the point. Its name will be displayed in the field.
