Description of setting

Export to JT

If this option is enabled, then every time of saving a model it is written to the disk not only in the format KOMPAS-3D (a3d, m3d, t3d), but also in the JT format. After enabling the option, the remaining controls of the dialog become available.

Note that saving into the JT format occurs both on fetching the File – Save command, but also in all the other cases of saving a model. For example, if write the model with recalculated dimensions based on tolerances to a new file, a copy of this model in the JT format is simultaneously created.

The name of the resultant file consists of the source file name and a suffix which repeats the extension of the source file. Owing to that, files of same-named parts and assemblies do not replace one another. For example, a file with the result of model export Bracket.m3d will be named as Bracket_m3d.jt.

To Folder

In this field, the path to the folder selected for writing copies of a model into the JT format is displayed.

Overview

The button allows to change the folder into which copies are written. If a folder for writing does not match the folder where the source model is located, then export is performed by copying the full path to the file. For example, if we are working with the document d:\Work\Gearbox.a3d, and as the folder for export the folder g:\JTis specified, then the copy will be written as g:\JT\d\Work\Gearbox_a3d.jt.

In Same Folder with Document

The button allows to explicitly give up saving copies in a folder specified using the Browse... button. After clicking In Same Folder with Document button, To Folder field is cleared. The copy will be written to the same folder as the document.
