Splitting commands can be applied to any curves except equidistant lines and construction lines.
KOMPAS-3D allows you to:
•Split curve into several equal parts.

If the points specified when performing the commands do not belong to the selected curves, then the position of splitting points will be determined by projections of the specified points onto the curve. You can use snaps. |
To split an object into two parts at the specified point, use the Split Curve
command.
Step-by-step instructions
1.Specify the curve to split. Its name will appear in the Object field on the Parameter Panel.
2.If the curve is open–ended, specify a point on it to split.
If the curve is closed, specify two points on it.
The curve will be split in the specified point automatically.
3.To complete operation of the command, click Finish

Split curve into several equal parts
To split an object into several equal parts, use the Split curve into N Parts
command.
Step-by-step instructions
1.Set the number of portions to split the curve into, in the Number of Portions field of the Parameter Panel.
2.Specify the curve to split. Its name is displayed in the field Object on the Parameter Panel.
If the curve is closed, specify the start point of splitting on it.
The curve will be split automatically.
3.To complete operation of the command, click the Finish
