Notes on importing objects
•Points are transferred with the object type saved.
•Curves are imported in the following way: segments, arcs, broken lines, and splines are transferred with the object types saved, the remaining curves are transformed into "curves without history".
•Surfaces are transformed into "imported surfaces", and solids – into "operations without history".
•Polygonal objects are obtained when importing three-dimensional elements represented by mesh generation data (for example, in the form of triangulation mesh or point cloud). If required, you can convert polygonal objects to solids or surfaces. More details on polygonal objects...
•Dimensions are transformed either into "dimensions without history" or into "imported designations".
•Designations and text objects are transformed into "imported designations".
|
"Imported designation" is a whole object. It can be hidden, excluded from calculation, moved to another layer. You can hide/show all "imported designations" using the View — Hide — Conventional Symbols command. |
Import and export features of the property BOM section when changing models through the JT format
When exporting a KOMPAS-3D model to JT format, the BOM section property is transferred as a string attribute and contains only the section name.
When importing a JT format model, in order for the BOM section property value to be obtained, you need to configure the import, setting correspondence between source model attribute, saving BOM section name, and system property of KOMPAS-3D BOM section.
Sending property BOM section when he import is performed correctly if the value of this property (or the values of the component properties in the assembly model) in the source model is the name of one of the sections in the standard BOMs: Documentation, Complexes, Assembly units, Parts, Software products and Databases, Standard parts, Other products, Materials, or Kits. As a result of the import, such a model and its components will be assigned to the appropriate sections and will be displayed correctly in the standard BOMs, i.e. BOMs with styles included in the KOMPAS-3D delivery set. In BOMs with user styles, objects may appear in other sections. This depends on the section numbers specified in the style, since the assignment of an object to a particular section is carried out according to the number specified for the object section.
|
Property transfer The BOM section has the following limitations when importing to and exporting from JT format: •the ownership of the object cannot be correctly transferred to nested or additional section of BOM, •the ownership of the object is not taken into account to subsection. |
