Specifying objects to build a contour |
Scroll |
The ability to specify objects depends on the selected contour type.
If Arbitrary cont ouring
or contouring with Auto-define type
is enabled, you can specify any objects used for contouring: spatial curves, individual segments of multi-segment curves, edges of bodies or surfaces, sketch lines, previously drawn contours.
If contouring on a face
is enabled, specify the edge of the face to be contained in the contour. One of the faces to which the edge belongs will be highlighted. Specify all edges of the selected face that are necessary for the contour
.If you have enabled Sketch contouring
, specify in the graphics area the consecutive connected lines of the same sketch
.Using the Quick Access Toolbar you can customize the object selection process:
•enable/disable selection of parts of curves
•specify how curves that form a chain should be selected: one by one
or all together
All of the specified objects must connect in a consistent manner and not form self-intersections.
Names of the objects selected to build a contour are displayed in the Objects field on the Parameters toolbar.
If necessary, you can deselect an object. To do this, delete its name from the Objects field. You can also deselect an object by specifying it again in the graphic area. Before specifying, make sure that the curves forming a chain will be selected separately and not together: the Single
button must be displayed in the Quick access toolbar. Otherwise, after specifying one object, the whole chain will be deleted.
