Coincidence of objects' characteristic points is established with the Merge Points command.

Step-by-step instructions

1.Specify two defining points of objects you want to set as coincident.
If the parameterized point coincides with another object’s characteristic point (you cannot exactly select this point as it is snapped to another object’s point), then you can first specify the object to which the point belongs and after this the point itself. To do this, use the Select the object first, and then its point on the Parameter Panel. Select the required object and specify its characteristic point.

When working with a drawing please note that all the parameterized objects must belong to the same view.

If the existing constraints do not prevent merging of the specified points, then the image will be rebuilt, and after that these points will coincide. The objects that these points belong to will have the Point Coincidence constraint applied.

2.To complete the command, click Finish .

Additional features for applying constraints...

The Point Matching constraint can be automatically applied when constructing objects in parametric mode. To do this, the Snaps option must be enabled in the Parameterize list when setting up parametric mode.

The parametric mode is configured for a graphic document in the Parametrization section of the setup dialog, and for a sketch in a model, in the Sketch section. The constraint will be applied when entering an object's characteristic point using a snap to another characteristic point (including the coordinate system origin), when entering a sequence of objects using the Autoline command, and when splitting a single curve into several new ones using the splitting commands.

Constraints are displayed in the graphic area in the constraint view mode. Coincidence of points is shown with the symbol.
