Setting the position of dimensional captions for the current graphic document is performed in the Dimensional caption location section of the setting dialog box.

To access the section, call the command Settings — Parameters... and in the dialog box that appears, select Current document — Dimensions — Dimensional caption location.

Linear dimensions

The drop-down list allows you to set the default layout of dimension captions for linear dimensions. The following options are available:

• Along the dimensional line,

• On the dimensional line,

• On the dimensional line horizontally.

The chosen arrangement of the linear dimension also determines the arrangement of the diametrical and radial dimensions.

Angular dimensions

The drop-down list allows you to set the default positioning of the dimension captions for the angular dimensions. The following options are available:

• Along the dimension line,

• On the dimension line,

• On the dimension line horizontally.

After completing the settings, click the dialog box Apply and close. To exit the dialog box without changing the settings, click Cancel.
