Setting up the creation of objects and variables in dependent versions and model variants is performed in the Versions section of setting dialog box. To access this section, call the Settings —Parameters... 
command and in the dialog box that appears, select System — Model editor — Versions.

Create an object in dependent versions and variants |
If this option is enabled, an identical object is created in all dependent versions and variants of the source version when a new object is created. If the option is disabled, a new object is not created in dependent versions and variants. In an assembly, the option also applies to adding components to dependent versions and variants that are identical to those added to the source version. |

Create a variable in dependent versions and variants |
If the option is enabled, when a new user variable is created in the source version, an identical user variable is created in all its dependent versions and variants. If the option is disabled, a new user variable is not created in dependent versions and variants. |
When you have completed the setting, click Apply and close. To close the dialog box without changing the setting, click Cancel.
