Change designation

You can customize the parameters of change markers for the current graphic document in the Modyfication symbol section of setting dialog box.

To access the section, call the command Settings — Parameters... and in the dialog box that appears, select Current document — Designations for mechanical engineering — Modyfication symbol.

The drop-down list allows you to select a variant of the change signoption:

•Square,

•Circumference,

•Brackets.

Sign height, mm

The field allows you to enter the size of the change signs: side of the square (for sign of type «Square») or circle diameter (for sign type «Circle»).

The field is absent if the list Type of sign selected Braces. The height of the brackets is determined by the font height of the change designation text.

Brace type

The drop-down list allows you to select the type of brackets. The field is present if in the list Type of sign selected option Braces.

Leader type

The drop-down list allows you to select an option for specifying the length of the leader line of the change designations. The following options are available:

•Full length — the lengths of leader lines can be arbitrary.

•Limited segment, mm — all leader lines will have the same fixed length. The length value is specified in the field on the right.

Font parameters

Font	The drop-down list allows you to select the desired font. The list contains all fonts enabled in the CS.	2.2
Different from the default font	This option allows you to set the font to match or differ from the document's default font. If this option is disabled, the font always matches the default.	2.2
Style	This group of elements allows you to set the characters to be in upright, italic, or bold.	2.2
Color	The field that displays the current symbol color. To change the color, click in the field.	2.2
Height, mm	This field allows you to enter a character height value (in millimeters) or select a value from a drop-down list. Manually entered values are added to the list and persist throughout the session KOMPAS-3D.	2.2
Width, %	This field allows you to enter a character width value or select it from a drop-down list. Manually entered values are added to the list and persist throughout the session. KOMPAS-3D.	2.2
View	The preview window displays the text's appearance, allowing you to visually evaluate the changes made.	—

Once you've completed the settings, click Apply and Close. To exit the dialog without changing your settings, click Cancel.
