The BOM can automatically sort items within a section.

The sorting rules are a component of the BOM style (see section BOM style).

The rules for sorting items (columns for sorting and the type of sorting in each of them) are configured for each section. Objects are sorted sequentially by selected columns (different sections may use different columns for sorting).

If during Configuring sections of the current BOM For any of them, you can change the sorting rules specified in the style, as well as disable the auto sorting (see also section Sorting and shifting items).

The user can cancel auto sorting of items in any section. All items in sections with auto sorting disabled can be arranged in an arbitrary sequence.

If automatic sorting is activated for a section, then it is activated every time after creating a new item in the section and after editing the text part of an existing item. You cannot unintentionally move the underlying objects of a section when automatic sorting is enabled.

If the section has Subsections, then auto sorting occurs within subsections. At the same time, the order of subsections is not violated and items between subsections are not moved.

There are five types of items sorting:

ascending;

descending;

complex ascending;

complex descending;
