Form Dimensions

The group of elements allows to set the sizes for various forms of mark/reference designation. Do the following.

In the Shape dropdown list, select the required form type.

Set the sizes of this form.

If the selected form requires setting one overall dimension, its value is entered or set using a counter in the 1 – overall dimension, mm field. In case of a double circle, the specified value determines the inner circle diameter. The gap between the outer and inner circles amounts to 1 mm.

If the selected form requires setting two overall dimensions, their values are entered or set using a counter in the 1 – width, mm and 2 – height, mm fields. If a rounded rectangle is selected, the distance between the centers of semi-circles is entered in the 1 – width, mm field.

Note that only form dimensions are set in this dialog. The default variant of form and the list of forms available when creating objects are configured in the Mark/reference symbol form filter dialog (see section Form Filter).

Text Location

The group of elements allows to set the distance from the text to the form separator.

The separator, a horizontal line in the middle of a form, is automatically created in the designation if two-line text is entered. The first line of the text is located above the separator, and the second one under the separator.

In the Distance from Form Separator to Text Above/Below it, mm fields, enter the required values of distances or select these values from dropdown lists. The entered values are added to the lists and saved within the session of KOMPAS-3D.

List of Forms

The list contains the names and samples of all forms of marks/references designations existing in the system (setting up the parameters of forms is described in section Parameters).

The forms near the names of which the options are enabled are available in the document: they fall within the list from which the designation form is selected during creation of an object.

If you use a set of forms different from the default one, change the setting by enabling or disabling the options near the names of forms.

The list of forms includes the Without Form type of designation drawing, which has no options. It cannot be disabled, i. e. it is deemed to be permanently enabled. Therefore, it is permanently available during creation of objects in graphic documents.

1.2

Move Up/Down

The buttons allow to configure the sequence of forms in the list.

To change the position of a form, select it and click the required button. The selected form will be moved by one item in the specified direction.

The sequence of forms set in this dialog is transferred into the list from which the form of mark/reference designation during creation of an object is selected. The form which is the first item of the list is default.

To accelerate creation of objects in the document, it is recommended to make the most frequently used form the first item and to place the other applied forms after it in the descending order of frequency of their use.

1.2

Enable All

The option allows to enable/disable availability of all forms of marks/reference designations contained in the list. It may be in one of three states:

enabled — all the options in the list are enabled (all the forms present in the list are available in the document),

undefined — the list contains both enabled and disabled options (forms with enabled options are available in the document, while those with disabled options are not),

disabled — all the options in the list are disabled (only the form Without Form is available in the document, the remaining forms from the list are unavailable).

If the state of the option is undefined, a click on the option will disable it, the next click will enable it.

Upon completion of setup of the form filter, click OK. Click Cancel to discard all changes and close the dialog.
