Parameter Panel on running a command

Scroll

Command controls appear on the Parameter Panel after invoking a command. At the same time, while the Parameter Panel was not active prior to invoking the command, it activate automatically, and if it was disabled, it gets enabled.

The figure shows the Parameter Panel in the process of running a bump operation.

Parameter Panel while building an extrusion element

In the heading area, the following are displayed:

name of the command being run,

the button for getting help for the command,

the button to control display Additional document tree,

buttons to run a command: Create an object (absent in commands with automatic completion) and Complete .

buttons to invoke all commands of a group (if a command is part of a group of commands of the same type).

In some commands, it is possible to switch from the main process to a sub-process. For example, while running a bump operation, it is possible to start a sub-process for creation of a vector that sets the bump direction (see the Figure). The indicator of a sub-process is the light yellow color of the heading area on the Parameter Panel. Besides, to the name of the main process the name of sub-process is added through the ">" character.

The main region of the Parameter Panel contains elements intended for setting parameters of the current operation – a group of buttons, options, toggle switches, etc. The main region may include the Main section and sectors.

Main section – an area located immediately close to the heading area. The main section contains elements for setting the main parameters of a command being run.

Section — an area containing additional control elements, grouped by certain criteria (for example, section Second Direction allows setting the extrusion parameters for the second direction, section Thin Wall includes the construction of a hollow element and setting the wall thickness). The section can be rolled up or expanded. To that end, mouse-click the sector heading.

Controls of operation parameters are described in section Elements of the Parameter Toolbar during command execution Applications Interface elements.

The messages area contains messages related to execution of the current command or to the current stage of running a command.
