Table of changeable variables

Scroll

Table of modifiable variables is a table stored in the model and containing variables of array instances.

Table of modifiable variables lets you specify new variable values for instances thus altering their form and dimensions. This option is available provided that the object being copied has variables that influence its form and dimensions.

Instances have the same variables as the object being copied. For example, variables of bumping operation are: distance, slope angle and, if the element is thin-walled, its wall thickness. Instances of bumping operation array have the same variables.

By default values of variables of object being copied and variables of instances are equal. You can specify new values for all instances of the array except the base instance.

Values of instance variables can also be changed in the Variables toolbarIn this case, you will have to manually find and edit the variable for each instance, which should have a value different from the original. On the other hand, in the table of modifiable variables you can enable display of the required variable and enter its values for any instances of the array.

Using the table of modifiable variables is not available:

in a mirrored array and in an array by sample,

in another arrays:

when solids or surfaces are copied (i. e., Solids or Surfaces button is pressed in Type group),

when construction of geometrical array (when copying operations).

The table is populated by user when creating or editing an array. Afterwards, the table can be edited or deleted from the file.

To change shape or dimensions of instances, create a table of modifiable variables and include variables of relevant instances into it, then Set new values of these variables.. Array instances will be rebuilt according to specified values.

The table of modifiable variables that is stored in the model may be written into a data file. This table also can be read from a data file.

When you plot a array by table Coordinates of points defining positions of array instances are transmitted to the table of modifiable variables. You can use the table to specify instance positions.

More details on setting point coordinates in the array can be found in the table...
