When working with KOMPAS-3D models, the following options are available:
•Interchange of models (import and export) between KOMPAS-3D and other systems is possible through formats given in the table.

Import from UGS/NX and SolidWorks proprietary formats is always possible, while from other formats — under the condition that the Advanced Reading Tools for Proprietary Formats component is installed in the KOMPAS-3D package. For full installation of KOMPAS-3D, this component will be installed automatically; for custom installation, the appropriate option should be enabled. Additional system requirements are listed in the ReadMe.pdf file. |
•Reading models from format of the mathematical core C3D (*.c3d), as well as writing to this format.
•Writing KOMPAS-3D v23 models to the following formats:
•formats of the previous versions of KOMPAS-3D: KOMPAS v21 and KOMPAS v22.
•raster formats (GIF, JPEG, Enhanced Windows Metafile, etc.),
