To write a KOMPAS document to another format, follow these steps:

1.Run the Save As... command .

After you call the command, the Write File dialog will appear on the screen.

2.In the list File Type, select the required format. The structure of the list depends on the type of the current document.

3.If the File Type list contains AutoCAD DXF (*.dxf) or AutoCAD DWG (*.dwg), the Parameters button appears in the dialog. This button calls a dialog to set up writing of a document to a selected format. Set up writing parameters and press the OK button.
No additional actions are required when exporting to other formats.

4.Press the Save button.
For the EMF format, after pressing the Save button automatically appears dialog for setting parameters. Configure the desired settings and press the Export button.

Export into IGES format is performed with the following restrictions – inserts of views, inserts of multilayered tiles, and multilayered macro-elements are not written.

Configuring export options for this format is not available.

It is reasonable to use a document saved in a different format for viewing and printout.

As a result of the export, a document in the selected format is generated, preserving the visual identity of the original. However, the structure and internal links of KOMPAS-3D system document objects and similar objects in the new format may differ. Example of such objects may include detailing of the AutoCAD drawing. While editing the resulting document, the appearance of such objects may change in a way that they lose their resemblance to the objects in the source document.
