Orientation of the sketch coordinate system – position of axes.
The rotation angle of the axes of the sketch coordinate system relative to the coordinate system of the selected plane is automatically determined when the sketch is created and fixed. The angle value is displayed in the Angle field of the Orientation elements group in Sketch Coordinate System section of the Parameter Panel. The fixed value is marked with 
icon.
You can change the orientation of the coordinate system by setting the position of its axes in one of the following ways.
•Rotate the sketch coordinate system around the Z-axis, rotating the base element 
in graphic area.
•Set the rotation angle of the sketch coordinate system relative to the coordinate system of the selected plane using the Angle field. The require value can be entered manually or selected from the drop–down list.
•Undo the angle fixing and rotate the coordinate system with the mouse in the graphic area around the Z-axis.
•Specify the object that determines the direction of one of the axes of the coordinate system. The position of the second axis will be determined automatically.
Ways to specify an object.
•Activate the field of the required axis and select the object in the graphic area of the model or in the Design Tree.
•Build a vector. To do this, click the Create vector 
button near the field of the required axis. This will start a subprocess of vector construction. Select the design method, set the required parameters and complete the vector build process.
The sketch coordinate system rotates so that the direction of the axis coincides with the direction defined by the object (vector).
The name of the object (or the word "Vector") will appear in the field of the corresponding axis, and the fields of the angle value and the second axis will become unavailable.
If necessary, you can change the direction of the axis to the opposite by pressing the Change direction 
button next to its field.

If the position of an axis is determined by a given object, then the orientation of the sketch coordinate system can only be changed by changing this object. To use another method (setting an angle, rotating a locating element) or to set an object for another axis, you should delete the name of the specified object from the field of the selected axis. |
Changing the orientation of the sketch coordinate system does not change its position.
