Creation hatch and fillin parametric mode has specifics. This specifics is described below in more details.

The hatch/fill borders are set by plotting a broken line or a contour

A hatch or fill whose borders are set by plotting a broken line or a contour (see section Additional methods for setting borders of hatch and fill) can only be non-associative.

It is not possible to make such a hatch/fill associative.

If you work in the parametrical mode, then after creation of a broken line or contour is complete, a message appears on the screen saying that the created object does not fit for plotting an associative hatch or fill.

To continue plotting resulting in creation of a non-associative hatch/fill, click Yes in the message. The system will return to the original process with keeping the set borders.

To set the hatch/fill borders in another way, click nan in the message. The system will return to the original process while having deleted the created broken line or contour.

Presence of associative and non-associative portions in one hatch or fill

A hatch or a fill can consist of multiple portions for every of which its own border is specified. When plotting each portion, its associativity to the border is determined by whether the parametrical mode is enabled or not: if the parametrical mode is enable, the section of hatch/fill will be associative, and if it is disabled, then not.

Thus the same object (hatch or fill) can contain both associative portions and non-associative ones.

Band hatch

Band hatch can be associative only in the case when its contour is closed (and consists of existing objects, not being set by plotting a line or contour, see above).

If the contour is open, then a non-associative band hatch is created based on it, although the parametrical mode is enabled.
