Use the Setup explosion parameters command to set the explode parameters for the components.

Ways to invoke the command

After calling the command on the Parameter Toolbar, settings of explosion parameters will appear. In the Explode Steps field, the component explode steps will appear. If the explode parameters for the current assembly have not yet been configured, the list contains one step.

Set the parameters for the first explode step. Use the following procedure.

1.Set the direction to explode the components. For that purpose specify a guiding object or draw a vector.

You can use the following objects:

To build a vector, click Build Vector to the right of the Guiding Object field. This will start a subprocess of vector construction. After building the vector the system will return to the process of setting the explode parameters.

The name of the guiding object will appear in the Guiding object field.

2.Specify the components involved in the explode step. The selected components will be highlighted in the graphic range, their names will appear in the Components field. The explode direction is indicated with a blue arrow.

3.Set the distance to shift the components. To do this, enter the desired value in the Distance field. To change the direction enter a "-" sign in front of the value.
The shift distance can also be set by dragging the blue arrow with the mouse.

After setting the explode parameters the selected components will be exploded accordingly.

4.To add an explode step, click Add to the right of the Explode Steps field. Then specify the components involved in the explode step and set the parameters for this step, as described above.

5.To complete the setup of allocation parameters, click Create Object .

After activating the component explode mode, the assembly will be displayed in accordance with the specified explode parameters.
