To activate the model section mode, use the Display model section command.

Ways to invoke the command

After running the command, the model will be displayed trimmed by the current section.

If no sections were created in the model, then after this command is invoked, the section creation process starts. After the process is completed, the model will be displayed cut by the created section.

If necessary, you can use another section as the current section. To do this, select the row with the name of the desired section in the menu of the Display model section button.

To create a new section, object or deleting the section, the process Manage model sectionsis used.

In the model section mode you can perform any operations for building objects, measuring, including other modes (for example, context editing mode, sketch mode, etc.).

When performing the operations, you can specify the vertices, edges and facets of the model, including for cuts, but you can’t specify vertices, edges and facets of the section.

To close this mode, invoke the Display model section command once again.
