Copying parameters between graphic objects |
Scroll |
When working with a graphic document or a sketch, you can copy parameters of one object into another.
Step-by-step instructions
1.Run the Copy Properties
command.
2.In the graphic area specify an object which is the source of parameters.
The name of the selected object will appear in the Object field of the Parameter Panel. In the Parameters section of this toolbar, the list of parameters of the object will be displayed.
|
You can also specify the source object to copy before invoking the command. |
If you need to change the parameters source object, delete its name from the Object field and select another object.
3.By default not all the parameters of the source object are selected for copying, and only some of them – these parameters have corresponding options enabled in the Parameters section. You can change the set of parameters to copy, by enabling and disabling options.
4.Specify the objects you need to copy the source parameters to, by clicking them with the mouse (you can also select the objects with the marquee).
The parameters of the objects will change automatically. The source object will remain highlighted.
5.If necessary, you can change the source object and copy the parameters for other objects.
6.To terminate the command, click Finish button
in the Parameter Toolbar header.
You can copy properties of objects between different graphic documents and sketches opened in one window of KOMPAS-3D. This is done the same way as copying properties between objects of one document. The only condition of performing this operation: in the document the properties are copied to, no other command should be launched.
Notes on Copying Parameters
Copying parameters is done according to the following rules:
•the Object layer parameter, as well as parameters which are coordinate and angle values, in the drawing are copied between objects belonging to the same view,
•the Style parameter (line style) is copied among all objects which allow changing the line style (for example, the circle line style can be copied into a line segment, an equidistant line, a wavy line, a brace etc.),
•the parameters from the Text (or the Text Style property), Font Parameters and Paragraph Properties groups are copied among all objects which contain text and allow changing the specified properties,
•the Language parameter is copied between texts and tables,
•the Hyperlink parameter is copied among all objects where a hyperlink can be inserted,
•the rest of parameters are copied only between objects of the same type (for example, the type of a leader line arrow can be copied only into another leader line but not into a dimension).
