Trimming curves |

You can create a trimmed copy of the curve. You can use an open curve as the source curve:
•3D curve or its segment (using curves with subordinate curve-objects has some features),
•sketch line,
•edge.
You can trim a curve using one or two secant objects. It may be a point object located on this curve, a straight line, a plane, etc. The curve and the sectioning object should have a common point different from the vertex of the curve.

Trimming of a curve is performed by the Curve Trimming
command.
Step-by-step instructions
1.Select a curve to be trimmed in the graphic area. The name of the selected object is displayed in the Curve field. You can also select the spatial curve in the Design Tree.
2.Select the sectioning object in the graphic area or in the Design Tree.
The name of the selected object is displayed in the Cutting object 1 field.
3.After the objects are selected, a copy of the curve is displayed in the graphic area; this copy is separated into parts by the intersection point(s). Select the portion you want to keep. Details...
4.You can delete a part of the curve on either side of the trimming border. To change the trim direction, press the Change Trimming Direction button
on the Parameter Panel.

5.You can trim the curve using two objects. Details...
6.You cat set the name, color, and display parameters of trimmed Curve. To do that, use the Properties section.
7.To complete the operation, click Create an object
.
The trimmed copy of the curve will be displayed in the graphic area; the trimming icon
will be displayed in the Design Tree.
8.To complete operation of the command, click Finish
