Deleting the model design history |
Scroll |
If necessary, you can remove the information on objects creation methods and on the relationships between them from the model file. As a result, the appearance of the model and its mass-inertia properties will not change, but tracing the model creation and editing the parameters will be impossible.
The design history can be deleted when it is no longer required, for example, if the model design has been completed. After deleting the design history, the model rebuilt will be faster, and the size of the model file will be reduced.
Use the Clear design history command to delete the model design history.
Calling of that command displays the dialog of design history removal parameters, allowing you to set the parameters for converting the model when deleting its design history.
After deleting the history, the model can be edited in the usual way: delete and edit existing objects (using allowed methods) and create new objects. If necessary, you can delete the design history again.

Before the model file is closed, you can cancel the deletion of the design history. All conversions are canceled, except for the changes in the CMP and conversion of components to stock parts. To restore the original status of the model, close it without saving. |

Deleting a design history is not available in models with versions. If necessary, you can save the versions as separate models and delete their design history. More details on saving a model with versions... |
