Obtaining a model drawing

Scroll

To create a drawing containing associative view of the current model – details or assemblies, the following commands are used (available if the current model is saved to a file on disk):

Create a drawing from a template creating a drawing using the selected template. After running the command, the dialog appears on the screen, in which it is required to select a drawing template.

When selecting a template for a single-sheet document, you can set the format, multiplicity, and orientation of the sheet.

Create Drawing — create a drawing from a template specified for new drawings in the Document templates dialog. If a template is not set, the drawing is created with default settings.

Create Drawing from the context menu of the component or solid highlighted in the Design Tree or in the graphic area, — creation of a drawing of a separate component or solid of the current model using the template specified for new documents in the dialog Document templates. If a template is not set, the drawing is created with default settings.

After selecting a template in the Create a drawing from a template command, as well as after invoking the Create drawing command, a new drawing is automatically created, and the arbitrary associative view of the current model (or component, or solid) in it. During the creation of a view, you can configure its parameters – orientation, color, scale, etc. To complete creating a view, specify its snap point in the drawing.

Further operations with the drawing — creation of other associative views, detailing, etc. — will be the same as with a drawing created in the usual way.

After completing generation of the model drawing, save it.

The drawing created from the model (not from a separate component or solid) is automatically included in the list of drawings related to the model.
