To create a table in a drawing or fragment, use the Table command.

Step-by-step instructions

1.Set the parameters for table placement — the snap point position and, if needed, the table slope angle (the angle is set to the snap point).
To set the snap point, enter its coordinates in the Snap Point field of the Parameter Panel or specify the snap point with the mouse in the graphic area.
To set the angle, enter the table slope angle to the X axis of the coordinate system of the current view in the Angle field.

When the snap point is set, placement of the table is completed and the New Table dialog appears on the screen.

2.In the dialog, set the table parameters (number of table columns and rows, cell size, header position) or select an existing table as a prototype (see section Insertion of Table from a File).
click Create button.
The dialog will close, and a table with the specified parameters will appear in the graphic area. The cursor will be automatically placed into the upper left cell of the new table. The system will switch to the text mode.

3.Enter the text in table cells and configure its formatting. To do this, use the Parameter Panel controls displayed in the text input subprocess.

4.If necessary, set up the table: add/delete rows and columns, split/merge cells, change cell sizes and their border line style, etc. Details...

5.To finish creating the table, click Create Object button .

A newly created table (as well as a table generated from a fragment) is placed so that its upper left corner coincides with the snap point. A table imported from a *.tbl file is placed in the document so that its snap point has the specified coordinates.

When editing the table, the position of its upper left corner can be changed, however, the position of the table snap point position remains constant.

After the table is created, the Table command does not finish working. This allows to create multiple tables while running the command just once.

If you need to create multiple tables located at the same angle, you can accelerate the process of creation. To do this, after you configure the first table, move the cursor outside it and click the left mouse button in the place where the snap point of the next table should be. The previous table will be automatically fixed, and the table creation dialog will appear on the screen again. Perform the needed actions to configure the table, as described above. The newly created table will be located so that its upper left corner will coincide with the specified snap point, and its slope angle will be equal to the slope angle of the previous table.

To complete the command operation when all the required tables are created, click Finish . If the last created table is not fixed, the Finish button will cancel creation of this table.
