General information about updating a copy of geometric objects
Configuring updating when creating/editing a copy
To configure updating when creating or editing copy, the Update Automatically toggle, located in the Parameters of updating section of the Parameters Panel, is used.
•If the switch is in position I (enabled), the copy objects are updated automatically (the default option).
•If the switch is in position 0 (disabled), the copy objects are not updated automatically. You can only manually update copies.
When updating of objects is disabled (the switch is in the position 0), an option Follow the source is displayed in the Parameters panel.
•Enable this option to receive the information on changing source objects.
•Disable the option if you don't need to follow changing of source objects.
Configuring updating with the context menu
You can select the desired copy updating option using the context menu commands. To do this, select the copy in the Design Tree and invoke one of the following commands from the context menu:
•Update automatically — the copy objects are automatically updated;
•Update by command and follow the source — the copy objects are not updated automatically; the system follows changes of the source objects;
•Update by command — the copy objects are not updated automatically; changes of the source objects are not followed.
The selected command is marked with a "tick" in the context menu.
You can assign one of the updating options to multiple copies at once.
•To assign the desired option to some number of copies, select them in the Design Tree and invoke the appropriate command from the context menu.
•To assign the desired option to all the copies existing in the model, enable the structural representation. From the Design Tree, select the section Copies, and then invoke the command for the update option.

If multiple copies are selected in the Design Tree, the "ticks" do not appear next to the updating option commands in the context menu. |
