Autosaving of documents ensures the maximum safety of the results of work in case of various failures (an emergency exit from the system, power failures, hardware errors of the computer, etc.). Therefore, during work with the system it is recommended to always enable autosave.

Setting up the parameters of files autosave is performed in the Autosave Document Filesdialog fetched with the command Settings — Parameters... — System — Files — Autosave.

The option allows to enable or disable autosaving of files.

With the auto-save enabled, autosave files are created in a specified folder at a set periodicity (see section Autosave file). These files help restore documents in case of emergency exit (see section Recovery of documents from autosave files).

The field allows to enter or set – using a counter – the value of a time interval in which the system will performed autosaving of files.


Save to:

The group of elements allows to specify the folder for autosaving of files. By default, autosave is performed into a system folder of temporary files. To indicate another folder for autosave, enable the To Another Folder option, press the Browse... button and select the required folder.

Having completed the autosave setup, press the OKbutton. Click Cancel to discard all changes and close the dialog box.
