Change source file of the imported component |

If the imported component saves a link with the source file, you can select another model as the source when editing properties of a component it's available to specify another model as the source. To do this, in the Source section of the Parameter panel, click the name of the Source file field and select the required interchange format file in the dialog that appears.
In the Source file field of the Parameter panel, the full name of the selected file will appear; the Designation and Name fields will become empty.
To complete the operation, click Create object 
. The model will be read from the file and the properties and geometry of the model will be transferred.
After the reading is complete, the model image and its name in the Design tree will change. An icon 
will appear next to the name, indicating that the model needs Rebuild.

You can select a KOMPAS-document as the source for the imported component, if needed. In this case, the imported component will become a regular component, i.e., it will no longer be a local insert. |
