Manual modification of the Included into Calculation/Excluded from Calculation state

Scroll

Manual modification of the state included into calculation/excluded from calculation is available for all objects except for those for which Managing the state with the aid of a variable.

The following icons correspond to this method in the Design Tree:

Included in the calculation,

Excluded from calculation.

To exclude the required object from calculation or include it into calculation, select it in the Design Tree or in the model graphic area and click the respective icon in this object's row in the Design Tree or invoke the Exclude from calculation /Include in calculation command from the context menu. The command availability in the menu depends on the current state of the object (included/excluded).

When selecting an object in the graphic area, note the following feature. Regardless if an entire object (component, solid, etc.) or one of its elements (face, edge, etc.) is selected, the entire object is excluded from the calculation/included into the calculation.

You can change the state (included/excluded) for several objects at a time. To do this, select the required objects (or their elements) and invoke the relevant command from the context menu — Exclude from calculation or Include into Calculation. The commands availability depends on the state of the selected objects. If all the objects are included into calculation, the Exclude from Calculation command will be available, and vice versa, if all the objects are excluded, the Include into Calculation command will be available. If the selected objects comprise both included and excluded ones, both commands will be available.

If the Design Tree displays the Model Design History, objects located in the Design Tree below the selected one can be excluded from calculation/included in calculation. For this purpose use the commands Exclude subsequent from calculation and Include subsequent into calculation from the object’s context menu in the Design Tree.

In case of components of the second and subsequent levels, features of manual inclusion into calculation and exclusion from calculation are described in section Inheritance of the Included into Calculation/Excluded from Calculation state.
