Request to group or ungroup BOM items |
Scroll |
This request appears on the screen when loading a specification file created in one of the previous versions of KOMPAS-3D, where the display mode for all objects was available and saved in that mode. The show all items mode is intended to display in the BOM table both items with the Show in table option enabled and disabled. The Show in table option was automatically disabled in the settings of duplicate objects.
In the current version of KOMPAS-3D, the Show in Table option and the mode for displaying all items have been removed. The display of "twins" is controlled by the Group option in the item settings. Enabled option means that when "duplicate" items are encountered, the object will be grouped with them (provided this option is also enabled in their settings) and the entire group will be displayed as a single row with the quantity of items indicated. When the option is disabled, the item is shown as a separate line in the table. Details...
Thus, the specification saved in the display mode of all items, when opened in the current version of KOMPAS-3D, can be restored to its previous state by disabling the Group option for all its items.
The dialog, which appears when opening such a specification, contains two buttons: Group all and Ungroup all. Pressing the first button means enabling the Group option for all objects, and the second button — disabling it. Closing the dialog with the x button is equivalent to pressing the Ungroup All button.
After opening the specification, you can manually enable/disable the Group option for certain objects or change the settings for all objects using commands Group/Ungroup All.
Features of processing objects with display disabled, but without 'duplicates'
In previous versions of KOMPAS-3D, the Show in Table option could be manually disabled for any BOM item, resulting in it no longer being displayed in the regular mode, but only in the show all items mode. When opening this specification in the current version, objects with disabled display but without 'duplicates' are processed differently depending on which button is pressed in the dialog:
•Group all — the objects are converted to hidden, i.e., they are not displayed in the table. You can view them in the special mode and if required, re-enable their display in the BOM. Details...
•Ungroup all — the objects do not become hidden, i.e., they remain visible in the table.
