Right after creation of the new drawing, the Scalecolumn of the title block contains the text "1:1".
By default, the system is configured such that after creation of the first view in the drawing, a reference to the scale of this view is inserted into the Scale column of the title block. If necessary, you can disable generation of the reference using the Create a link to the view scale in the main caption option in the settings dialog.
|
In the template of the drawing, we can have a view created and a scale set different from 1:1. In this case, the drawing created from this template already contains a custom view with the specified scale. The same scale (not 1:1) is displayed in the title block. The value may be a link or regular text – that depends on the state of the Create a link to the view scale in the main caption option. |
Regardless of settings, the current text or the link in the Scale column can be replaced with other text or a link to the scale of any view available in the drawing. On creation of links manually (see section Creating a reference.
Double-click on the Scalecolumn invokes a user menu with a list of standard scales. The scale selected from it is inserted into the title block as a plain text and replaces the current contents of the Scale column.
The link in the Scalecolumn is more preferable than the plain text since the contents of the link automatically changes on change of the scale of a respective view owing to which the scale in the title block always reflects the actual scale of the main view.
