To place a straight-line object on the bisector of an angle formed by two straight-line objects, use the Bisector command.

Step-by-step instructions

1.Specify straight objects which form an angle. Names of the selected objects will appear in the Objects field on the Parameter Panel.

When working with a drawing please note that all the parameterized objects must belong to the same view.

2.A phantom of bisectors of angles formed by the specified objects is displayed in the graphic range. Choose a bisector by clicking the required phantom.

3.Select a straight object to be placed on the bisector.

If the existing constraints do not prevent the object parametrization, then the object will be placed on the bisector of the angle formed by the first two objects. A constraint Bisector will be applied to all these objects.

If the first two objects are parallel to each other, then the third object is located in the middle between them.

4.To complete the command, click Complete .

The Bisector constraint can be created automatically when constructing objects in parametric mode. To do this, the Bisector option must be enabled in the Parametrize list when setting up parametric mode. The parametric mode setting is performed for a graphic document in the section Parametrization of setting dialog box, and for the sketch in the model - in the section Sketch. The constraint will occur when constructing a line using the command Bisector, center line by two segments using the command Auto center line, segment on the angle bisector using the command Auto line.

Constraints are displayed in the graphic area in the constraint preview mode. Bisector is displayed as an icon .
