To snap an object’s defining point to a midpoint of another curve, use the Curve midpoint command.

Step-by-step instructions

1.Specify a curve (segment, circle arc, centerline) to locate a point in the middle of it. The name of the selected object will appear in the Object field on the Parameter Panel.

2.Select a point.

When working with a drawing please note that all the parameterized objects must belong to the same view.

If the existing constraints do not prevent placing the point in the middle of the curve, then the image will be rebuilt, and after that the preset condition will be fulfilled. It is applied to the curve and to the object the point belongs to the Point in middle of curve constraint.

3.To complete the command, click Finish .

Additional features for applying constraints...

The constraint Point on curve can occur automatically when constructing objects in parametric mode. To do this, the Snaps option must be enabled in the Parametrize list when setting up parametric mode. The parametric mode setting is performed for a graphic document in the section Parametrization of setting dialog box, and for the sketch in the model — in the section Sketch. The constraint will be applied when entering an object's feature point using the Midpoint snap.

Constraints are displayed in the graphic area in the constraint preview mode. A point at the middle of the curve is indicated by a symbol.
