You can configure the structure of the Model tree for a part or assembly in the Structure section of setting dialog.
To access the section, invoke the Settings — Parameters... 
command in the dialog box that appears, select Current document — Model tree — Structure.
The section allows you to set the default composition of the Design tree.

Display in Tree |
The list is used to enable/disable the display of sections in the Design tree. Each line of the list contains an option. If the option is enabled, the partition is displayed in the Tree, and if it is disabled, it is not displayed. The Operations outside sections option allows you to disable or enable the display in the Tree of operations not included in any of the sections. The All option allows you to enable/disable the display of all sections listed. It can be in one of three states: •enabled •undefined •disabled If the state of an option is undefined, clicking on the option will disable it, the next click will enable it. Empty sections are not displayed. A partition appears in the Design tree after the first object of the corresponding type is created. For example, if there are no sketches in the model, the Sketches section in the Tree will be absent. |
- all options in the list are enabled (all sections are displayed),
- the list contains both enabled and disabled options (sections with enabled options are displayed in the Tree, while those with disabled options are not displayed),
- all options in the list are disabled (sections are not displayed in the Tree).

The first time you open a model created in KOMPAS-3D V8 Plus or an earlier version of the system, the default Tree display method is used. |
When you have finished configuring the Tree, click Apply and close the dialog box. The changes made will be reflected in the Tree: sections will disappear or appear in it.
To exit the dialog box without saving changes, click Cancel.
