The list of objects that define the zone dimensions for a part or assembly can be configured in the Zoning section of the setting dialog box.

To access the section, call the command Settings — Parameters... and in the dialog box that appears, select Current document — Zoning.

The section allows you to specify the objects by which the:

component dimensions when selecting objects using zones,

dimensions of the zone, if a composite object is specified for creation of the zone — the model itself or a component of it.

The setting made in this dialog box does not affect the manual selection of objects defining the zone dimension, i.e. you can manually specify an object of any type.

Setting description

To be taken into account when dimensioning

List of objects that can be taken into account when defining the zone dimensioning. Each line of the list contains an option. If the option is enabled, the corresponding object is taken into account when defining the zone dimension, and if it is disabled, it is not taken into account.

The All option allows to enable/disable participation in gauging of all objects listed in the list. It can be in one of three states:

enabled  — all options in the list are enabled (all objects in the list participate in zone sizing),

undefined  — the list contains both enabled and disabled options (objects with enabled options are taken into account when determining the zone dimensioning, while those with disabled options are not taken into account),

disabled  — all options in the list are disabled (all list objects are not counted).

If the option status is undefined, clicking on the option will disable it, the next click will enable it.

When the option Consider hidden objects is enabled, hidden objects are taken into account in the gauge definition..

To complete the settings, click the dialog box Apply and close. To exit the dialog box without saving the change, click the Cancel button.
