With an Size load type, minimum data are extracted from the component file. You will not be able to view the component contents in the Design Tree, and only a bounding box of the component is displayed in a graphic area.
This load mode is recommended if you need overall dimensions of the component whereas previewing its appearance is not needed.
In the assembly Design Tree, the load type Dimension is displayed with an icon 
.
If the component is placed in the model using the By matings, then after applying the loading type Size to it, the component is fixed in its current position (in the Feature Tree, an icon 
appears next to the component's icon).

You can set up a list of model objects that are used to form its bounding box, see section Size. However, if the model has no solids or surfaces, all other objects included in the size will be ignored, i.e. a box will not be constructed. |
