Filling the title block of an associative drawing |
Scroll |
The values of the following properties can be transmitted to the title block of the associative drawing from the model document:
•Designation (simple – completely, compound – all parts, except the document code),
•Name,
•Mass:
•the mass of a part is calculated automatically according to the density of material of a part and its form,
•the mass of the assembly model is defined as a total mass of its components,
•Material (only for part drawings; if a stock part is used in the part, then You can enable indication of a blank instead of material),
•Developed by, Checked by, Approved by, In-process inspection, Compliance assessment.
This data is entered in the document model – parts (*.m3d) or assembly (*.a3d) – during creation of its properties.
Values of properties are transferred only if they are set in the model.
By default, the transfer of property values from the model to the drawing is carried out when you create the first associative view – the toggle switch Connect to model properties in the view parameters is set to position I (enabled), see section. Transfer of properties when creating a view. Values of the transferred properties are displayed in the title block.
Further on, when Editing the title block You can manually change the contents of its fields transferred from the model. At the same time, the values of respective properties of the drawing will change. These properties will lose link with the model.
In the title block editing mode, you can also Modify set of transmitted properties and Select another model for transfer If the drawing contains associative views of various models. Besides, you can give up transfer of properties from the model by setting the Connect to model properties toggle switch to position 0 (disabled). This toggle switch is in the Drawing properties section of the Parameter Panel.
The fields to which the info from the model are not transferred are filled manually. You do it in the same way as in a normal drawing.
Configuring the display of mass
You can also configure the parameters for displaying the mass in the editing mode of the title block of the associative drawing. For this, elements of the group Mass Format, located in the section Drawing Properties on the Parameter Panel, are used.
The group is available on the Parameter Toolbar if the following conditions are met:
•The toggle switch Connect to model properties is set to position I (enabled),
•In the property list of a drawing, the option Source is enabled in the row Mass.
The description of elements of the group Mass format is provided in the table.
