Modifying the parameters of a spline surface

Scroll

To modify the shape of the face transformed into a spline surface, a grid is used, which is formed by series of control points (poles). The poles of the grid follow two directions: U and V.

A grid has default dimensions (number or poles in each direction) and surface order.

If the face being edited is a spline surface to begin with, then the dimensions of the grid and the order of the surface are equal to the dimensions and order of the face.

You can modify the order of the surface and the number of grid poles. To do that, use the following commands on the Surface transformation tools toolbar in the toolbar panel:

Grid Parameters — allows modifying the order of the grid and the number of its poles in each direction,

Adding/deleting rows — allows adding and deleting pole rows of the grid.
