Modifying Grid Parameters |

To change the order of a spline surfaceinto which the face selected for editing is converted and the number of grid poles, use the Grid Parameters command
.
After you run this command, the grid parameter controls appear on the Parameter Panel.
Using the Number of Points by U and Number of Points by V fields, you can enter the correct number of grid poles in each direction.
Using the Order by U and Order by V fields, you can enter the value of the order for each direction of the grid. The value in this field should not be less than 3 or greater than 9.
|
The number of poles of the grid in the selected direction cannot be less than the order of the surface set for this direction. If the order is increased, the number of poles is automatically increased as well. If the order is decreased, it does not affect the number of poles. |
After you enter the values in the fields, the grid in the graphic area will be automatically rebuilt. The number of its poles becomes equal to the specified values.
If you want to edit a copy of a face rather than the face itself, enable the Work with Copy setting. More details on editing a copy of the selected face...
