The Spline form mode allows you to arbitrarily modify the shape and position of the selected face. This mode is available if the model contains solids and/or surfaces.

When working with an assembly, please keep in mind that this mode is only available if the assembly contains solids and/or surfaces that have been created directly in this assembly.

If you switch to the Spline form mode, the color of the tab of the current document and the header of the Parameter Panel changes to dark blue. The icon for the mode appears in the graphic area of the model. The structure of the main menu and the toolbar panel will change.

To edit a face, please select it (you can select the face prior to running the mode).

The selected face is transformed into a spline surface and it is highlighted. The transformation will result in the face losing its original properties. For example, after you transform a conical face into a spline surface, you won’t be able to plot its axis using the Axis of Conical Surface command.

After the transformation of the face, the phantom of the grid pointed by the parametric region of the surface. The grid is formed by series of points: poles. The series of the grid follow two directions: U and V. Grid Parameters can Settings.

You can display or hide the grid using the Display grid and poles button on the Quick Access Bar. If this button is pressed, the grid is displayed, otherwise it is hidden.

If you change the position of the poles of the grid, then the shape and/or position of the selected face are changed. If one or more poles of the grid are Selections, in the graphic area, it is displayed Placement element. You can use this element to change position of poles.

You can Fixed.

Perform all the required actions to get the desired shape and position of the face. You can Undoing and redoing actions Under the action in this case is understood, for example, pole displacement, changing mesh parameters, but not pole selection.

To continue plotting the model after arbitrary editing the face, exit the Spline form mode.
