General information about moving poles

Movement within screen plane

You can move the pole of the grid in a plane which is parallel to the screen and passes through this pole.

To move a single pole, move the mouse cursor towards it. When the vertex symbol appears next to the cursor, click the left mouse button and, without releasing the button, move the mouse to the desired position. Then release the button.

To move several poles (arbitrary or all poles of one row), please Select them. In the graphic area will appear Placement element. Move the mouse cursor to the center point of this element. When the point will be highlighted, hold the left mouse button and move the mouse to the desired position. Then release the button. You also can use this method to move a single pole of the grid.

Movement in space in the specified direction

You can use the Placement element . It is displayed in the graphic area if at least one pole has been selected.

Step-by-step instructions

1.Select the grid poles you want to move. Details...

2.Change the position of the location element if needed. To do that, move it to the pole of the grid (to select this pole, click it while holding the <Shift> key).

3.If the required movement direction does not coincide with any axes of the model coordinate system, please rotate the location element so that one of its arrows would align with the movement direction.

4.Move the poles:

to an arbitrary distance — move the mouse cursor towards the arrow of the location element, click and hold the mouse button and move the mouse; release the button when the location element would take its intended position;

to the specified distance — click the arrow that coincides with the movement direction, enter the movement distance in the field that appears and press .
