Location element in the Spline form mode |
Scroll |
If at least one pole of the grid is selected in the Spline form If at least one pole of the net is selected, a base element
is displayed in the graphic area. Its purpose is to move poles in various directions.
The center point of the location element (displayed as yellow circle) coincides with one of the poles of the grid:
•if one pole is selected – with this pole,
•if several poles are selected – with the first selected pole,
•if a series of poles is selected – with the first pole of this series.
More details on selecting poles...
You can place the location element on any pole of the grid (selected or not). To do that, click the pole while the holding the <Shift> key. The center point of the location element coincides with this pole. Please note that in this case we only move the location element without adding a pole to the selected poles.
The location element consists of three volumetric axes (red, green and dark blue). These show the positive directions of the axes X, Y and Z of the model coordinate system. In the planes perpendicular to the arrows the arcs of the corresponding colors are displayed. For example, the element arrow that coincides with the X axis is red. The arc lying in the plane perpendicular to this arrow is also red. Arrow on the arc shows the positive rotation direction.
Using the location element, you can move the selected grid poles in the specified direction. You can use all the features described in section Placement element.
The directions of the axes of the location element initially coincide with the directions of the corresponding axes of the model coordinate system. The orientation of the location element may be changed when editing the face. Press <Ctrl+R> shortcut to restore the initial orientation.
