Arbitrary editing of a face: general procedure |
Scroll |
1.Run the Spline form and select the face to edit.
You can specify the face before or after running the mode.
|
Please note that you cannot change the selection of a face in the Spline form mode. For this you should exit that mode. |
The selected face is transformed into a spline surface. A phantom will appear in the graphic area. This phantom is a grid consisting of series of points – poles. The series of the grid follow two directions: U and V. If you change the position of the poles of the grid, then the shape and/or position of the face may change. More details on transformation and representation of the face...
2.Modify the settings of the spline surface if needed. Details...
3.You can fix the grid poles that are not supposed to move. Details...
4.Drag the grid poles in the plane parallel to the screen plane or use a location element. Details...
The shape and/or the position of the face will change.
5.You can modify the grid parameters, fix or unfix the poles and move them as many times as needed to get the desired shape and/or position of the face. You can undo and redo actions in this case, action is understood as, for example, moving poles, changing grid parameters, but not selecting poles.
6.Exit the Spline form mode. To do that, click the mode icon in the graphic area or run the Spline form command in the context menu.
All the face modifications will be saved. Spline form
object will appear in the Design Tree.
|
If necessary, you can restore the initial shape and/or position of the face by deleting the Spline form in the Construction Tree or undo operation. |
