Standard parameters |
Scroll |
Setup of standard parameters of an associative view is performed using the elements contained in the main section of the Parameter Toolbar. The description of elements is provided below.
Parameters linked to the model
Elements are only accessible for views from the model – Standard and Arbitrary.

Description |
|
Source File |
The field contains the full name of the source file of the model selected for display in the drawing. To specify a different source file, click the Source file link to the left of the field. The screen will display the file selection dialog. Specify the required model in the dialog. If this model contains versions, additional numbers, variants of geometric representation, then the dialog displays lists which allow for selection of the required version, additional number, and variant. Upon completion of selection of the source file, its full name is displayed in the appears in the Source file field. |
|
Model Window Display |
This button enables/disables display of the source model windows, in which the model selected for inserting views is contained. In this window, you can: •point to the projected model solids (pointing is possible if the All solids/Selected solids toggle switch is in the Selected solids position, see below), •set the provision of model for creation of the user orientation (orientation is created by means of the Fix custom orientation button, see below). |
|
All solids/Selected solids |
The toggle switch allows for finding out which objects will be projected into the drawing. That depends on the toggle switch position: •All solids – projected are all objects available in the model, •Selected solids – projected are only selected solids. To select solids, use the Source model window. The required solids are selected with the mouse in the window, and their names are displayed in the Solids field. The Solids field and the Model source window are displayed if the toggle switch is set to the Selected solids position. The display of window can be also controlled with the Model Window Display button. |
|
Variation |
The list is used to select the model version for which the associative view is created. The geometry of the view will match the selected version. The list is present on the Parameter Toolbar, if the at the Panel of parameters if the model selected for creation of a view contains versions. Designations of versions, both dependent and independent, are located at the same level of the. |
|
Orientation Orientation list hierarchy; Fix custom orientation |
The list allows you to select orientation of the model on the main view (when designing standard views) or the arbitrary view. The list contains the names of all, including custom, orientations which are available in the model’s source file (for more details on creation of custom orientations, see section Model Orientation). If display is enabled for Source model windows (see above), there is the Fix custom orientation button next to the list. It allows to create an orientation that matches the model position in the Source model window. This orientation will be added to the list and will be stored in the view parameters of the drawing, it will not be passed to the model-source. If necessary, you can replace the created orientation with another one by setting a new position the model in the window and pressing the button again. After the orientation is changed, the drawing needs to be re-built. |
View Pattern
The element is only accessible when creating standard model view.
Item |
Description |
|
View Pattern |
This group of buttons is used to select model views that you want to create. By default, the main view, front view, and the left-hand view are created. To enable/disable view creation, click the respective button in the group. You cannot disable creation of the main view. Relative position of buttons in the group depends on the projection method which is selected when setting up the parameters of the new view (see section View). |
Layer Transfer
The element is accessible to all views except the Detail Section.
Item |
Description |
|
Transfer layers |
The option controls transfer of layers, groups of layers and filters in the model into a drawing: if the option is enabled, layers are transferred, and if disabled, then not. It is possible to transfer only the layers with Project to drawing property, for more details see section Transfer of layers from model into drawing. |
Parameters for building cuts
Cut/section element is available for views Cut/Section and Detail Section, and the remaining — only for Detail Section.
Item |
Description |
|
Cut/Section |
A toggle switch to select the image type – a cut or section. |
|
Border |
A field in which the name of the closed line (a circle, an ellipse, etc.) selected as the border of a detail section is displayed. The line should be created in advance and be on the reference view. If it is required to re-select a line, delete its name from the field by clicking the "x" icon in its right-hand part. |
|
Cutting plane |
A field in which the message stating whether the clip plane is set or not. While creating a detail section after setting a clip plane, the operation ends automatically. While editing the parameters of a detail section, the name of the field is a link. Clicking this link allows you to set a cutting plane again. |
Elements are accessible to various views.
Item |
Description |
|
Projection link |
The toggle switch controls the presence of projection link between an associative view and its reference view. If the link is there, then movement of views is limited. To randomly to move and/or rotate a view, disable the link. After that, the Rotation angle will appear on the Parameter Panel. The presence of a projection link can be also controlled with the Projection link command in the context menu of the associative view. For views By Arrow, Projective and Cut/Section. |
|
Explode Assembly Components |
This option controls the explosion of the assembly. It is available on the Parameter Panel if the source file is an assembly with set parameters of component explosion (see section Explode Assembly Components). For views By Arrow, Arbitrary, Projective, and Cut/Section. |
|
Flat pattern |
This option controls display of a sheet solid in expanded form. It is available on the Parameter Panel if the source file is a part which contains a sheet solid and the flat pattern parameters (see section Setting flat pattern parameters). For more details on the image of a flat pattern in a drawing, see also the section Flat Pattern Drawing. For the By Arrow, Arbitrary and Projective. |
