The hatching parameters are configured using the Parameter Panel items described below. When setting the parameters, you can use the geometrical calculator.

Type |
A group of buttons allows you to select how to display the hatching within the boundaries of the object. |

Region |
Hatch the entire area within the borders. |
|
Band |
Construction of hatching band along the border. |
Band Width |
Field to set the width of the hatching band. Available if in the Type group, the Band button is pressed. |

Hatch Side |
The toggle switch that determines the position of the hatching band (to the left or right of the border). Available if in the Type group, the Band button is pressed. |

Base point |
The field of coordinates of the conditional point from which the hatch "starts". Located in the Coordinates group. You can change the position of a point by specifying other coordinates in the field or specifying its position with the mouse in the graphics area. In this case, the hatching lines are shifted vertically and / or horizontally. |

Style |
List of hatch styles. To change the hatch style, expand the list and select the desired line. Another style... row allows you to choose a style from an external library, or from a user-generated set, or one of the styles stored in the document. |

Color |
A list for selecting the color of the hatching lines. You can choose a color from a predefined set or set a custom color by clicking on the Other colors row. |

Step |
Field to set the hatch pitch: •if the hatching consists of solid lines (for example, the hatch of the "Metal" style), then the value specified in the field determines the distance between the lines, •if the hatching consists of broken lines (for example, hatch of the "Glass" style), then the value specified in the field determines the scaling factor of the distance between the lines, as well as the lengths of the dashes and gaps that make up the lines. You can enter an arbitrary pitch value in the field or select a value from a predefined list. |

Angle |
Field to set the hatching slope angle. You can enter an arbitrary step value in the field or select a value from a predefined list. The hatch slope angle is set in the absolute coordinate system and is counted from the X axis anticlockwise. The angle value can be positive or negative. Change sign button located next to the field Angle, allows you to change the sign to the opposite. |

If the pitch / scale or hatch angle values cannot be changed, then the corresponding field (Step or Angle) is not displayed on the Parameter Panel. For a custom hatching style, the ability to change these parameters is determined by the state of the Do not change option Dialog for creating/editing hatch style. |
