Variables of maximum deviations are intended for setting the values of maximum deviations of the control dimensions of a graphic document or sketch, and operation parameters of a model whose values are expressed in linear or angular values.

Variables of this type are created by the user. To create them, it is necessary to select the initial variable – a variable of dimension or parameter whose maximum deviations need to be set using variables.

To create variables of maximum deviations for a required dimension or parameter, select a cell with the name of the matching variable and from the context menu call the Add maximum deviations command.

In a model, two variables – of the upper and lower deviation limit – are created. They are located right after the initial variable and are hierarchically subordinated to it.

The names of variables of maximum deviations are generated automatically and take the form:

for a variable of the upper deviation – <name of initial variable>_ES (for example, v7_ES),

for a variable of the lower deviation – <name of initial variable>_EI (for example, v7_EI).

If a variable with this name already exists, then the sequence number, for example, v7_ES_1, is added to the name of the newly created variable.

By default, variables of maximum deviations get the values of maximum deviations of the dimension or parameter for which they are created. These values may correspond to the general or individual tolerance for dimension (parameter) and also be equal to zero if a tolerance was not set. Values are placed into the Value cells of the variables of maximum deviations, and the matching Expression cells remain empty. To set the required values of values of variables, into the Expression cells enter:

number or a constant,

expression to calculate the value,

reference to a variable.

If the Expression cell of at least one of the variable maximum deviations is filled, then the tolerance for a respective dimension (parameter) can be assigned only using these variables. You cannot set a tolerance in the table to enter size label and in the Tolerance dialog .

If necessary, you can delete variables of maximum deviations. Their deletion is performed similarly to deletion of user variables. Besides, these variables are deleted automatically on deletion of their initial variable. For more information on deleting variables...
