Custom variables in versions |

You can’t set the rotation angle while creating versions All the variables of the original version (including custom variables) are transferred to it, i.e. a set of variables is created that is identical to the set of variables of the original version.
Notes on transferring custom variables into versions:
•dependent version – a reference to the corresponding variable in the original version becomes the value of the custom variable; this reference replaces the contents of the corresponding cell Expression of Variable Panel (if a property is created from the custom variable, then the contents of the cell are transferred without changes – the reference is not created);
•independent version – the transferred custom variable is identical to the corresponding variable of the original version; the contents of the cell Expression of Variable Panel is transferred without changes.
Later you can add a custom variable to any version created in the model.
If the version to which the variable is added has dependent versions, then the new variable will be transferred to all these versions, since the Dialog for setting execution parameters By default, the option Create a variable in dependent versions and variants is enabled. If variables transfer is not required disable the option.
To transfer a custom variable to dependent versions you can use the Apply to dependent versions and variants command. The command can be found in the context menu of the custom variable in versions with dependent versions.

Please note that custom variable deletion in the original version is not transferred to its dependent versions. If you need to also delete the variable in a dependent version, do it manually. |
On the Variables toolbar, you can edit custom variables of versions, both dependent and independent. Note that the Variables toolbar displays a set of variables for the currentversion.
You can change the contents of the Expression cell for a variable, the value of the variable will change. This change will be transferred to dependent versions.
If the dependent version variable should have a different value (different from the value of the original version variable), replace the reference contained in the Expression cell of this variable with the desired value. The link between the dependent and source version variables will be lost. If required, you can restore the link by creating a reference to the variable of the required version (see section Reference to a variable).
