Insertion of a raster image |

To insert a raster image into a drawing, a fragment, or a sketch, do the following actions.
1.Call the Figure... command. 
After the command is executed, the "Open File" dialog will appear on the screen.
Select the required file in this dialog box and click Open. The filename is displayed in the Source file field on the Parameters panel. After selection of a file in the graphic area, a dimensional marquee of the picture will appear.
If it is required to change an insertion source, click Source file link and select another file.
2.Specify the method of insertion of the image by having pressed the required button in the Method of Insertion group.
By reference — the document generates a reference to the source without inserting the file contents. The changes made to a source are transferred to the document containing inserts. While transferring a document to another seat, a transfer of the source of insert is also required.
By embedding — the contents of the file is copied into the document and is stored in it. Reference to the source is not saved, and changes in the source are not transferred into the document. While transferring a document to another seat, transfer of the insertion source is not required.
3.Set the angle of rotation and the scale factor of the insert into respective fields on the Parameter Panel.

4.If necessary, set the insertion resolution in the Resolution field. The field is present on the Parameter Toolbar, if the source contains no information on the image resolution.
The Image Info section contains details of the image being inserted. As the values in the Resolution and Scale fields are changed, the values in the Width, mm and Height, mm fields are recalculated.
5.Use one of the following methods to set the position of the base point of the insertion:
•specify the image insertion point,
•enter the coordinates in the Base Point field of the Coordinates group.
After indication of the base point, creation of an image insert ends automatically. The system waits for the next place for an insertion.
6.To complete operation of the command, click Finish

You can insert a raster image from the element library or via clipboard. In this case, on the Parameter Panel the Source file field and the Method of Insertion group are missing. An image is copied into the document, and the link with the source is not saved. |
