Loading model data required to create objects |

For some objects to be constructed in the associative views, it is required that data from the source model needed for construction be available when working with the drawing. For example, to create a centerline of face projection, data for the source face are needed; for creating a reference numberassociatively linked with the geometry of the assembly component, data about this component is required.

The presence of the component data at the time of setting the reference number allows you to automatically include this reference number in the BOM item that corresponds to the component. As a result, the reference number from the BOM item is transferred (and updated thereafter) to the landing of the positional leader line. |
To load data from the model, it must be opened in KOMPAS-3D or loaded in background mode.
If the model file is closed, you can load data in the following ways:
•When you open a drawing: in the file open dialog, select the Load option from the Data from the model list (the list is located on the right side of the dialog).
•When working with the drawing, activate the command Load data from the model from the context menu of the root item in the Drawing Design Tree.
•To load data automatically when you open a drawing, in the System settings, enable the Load data from the model when working in associative drawings option.
When you use any of the methods described above, all source models of associative views of the drawing are loaded in the background mode, and the data from them become available when you work with the drawing.
When data from all source models is loaded, the 
Data from the model is loaded icon next to the thumbnail of the root element of the Drawing Design Tree appears.
